Patek Philippe Ref. 5099/101RG

Pièce Unique for the “only watch 2005” charity auction. “Cabriolet” wristwatch in rose and white gold; manually wound caliber 215 PS movement with subsidiary seconds. The two-tone silvery dial features rose gold baton indexes and two applied Breguet-style numerals at 12 o’clock. The subsidiary seconds dial at 6 o’clock emulates the square shape of the case. The “feuille” (leaf-shaped) hour and minute hands are crafted from rose gold. The deep-blue “galuchat“ strap is provided with a rose gold pin buckle. The hinged cover of the watch is engraved and set with precious stones to reflect the theme Recovery and Hope. Its symbolic elements are as follows: – The sun is represented by 7 yellow sapphire stones that stand for hope, strength, and shining energy. – The moon, intrinsically linked with the sun, is symbolized by 5 diamonds. It expresses sensitivity, protection, and love. – The large diamond-paved heart denotes charity, openness, and generosity. – The small heart, paved with 6 yellow sapphire stones, represents the child’s heart from which a ray points to the future, toward evolution and compassion. – The horizon, represented by 7 widening horizontal bands, is a symbol of hope and the path to recovery.
