Pièce Unique for the “only watch 2005” charity auction. Automatic Caliber RM 005-1. This sole and unique example, the development of which represents an intensive year’s work, is the result of a Richard MILLE and Philippe STARCK collaboration. The design and execution of this watch demonstrates a holistic approach to the movement/case/dial. The movement is mounted on chassis mounting rubbers ( ISO SW) and fixed by 4 titanium screws. Technical Description Watch case designed by Philippe Starck: 18k white gold, Assembly with spline screws in 18k white gold acting as the hour marker, Water resistant: 50 m, crown in grade 5 micro blasted white gold, case back and bezel: in sapphire (1800 Vickers ) with anti-glare treatment (2 sides). Dimensions: 53.85 x 35 mm. Thickness: 11.40 mm. Bracelet: opened and closed by applying a simple pressure to a push button situated on the side of the case. The size of this strap will be adjusted according to the specific measurement of the owner’s wrist. Dial: Clear sapphire, date indication, “Mille” hands. Movement: Stem with 3 positions - manual rewinding, hand-setting with stop, date adjustment Bottom plate and bridges in hand-ground titanium, wet sandblasted, PVD treated, sandblasted and rhodiumplated wheels, bevelled and hooped wheels, diamond-polished sinks on the bridge side, pinions with undercuts, 55-hour power reserve, 31 jewels, glucydur 3-arm balance, flat Nivarox balance spring, 28.800 A/h.
