Porsche Design PTC 911

Like the cockpit instruments of the 911 Carrera, the dial shows the time with perfect clarity. The color of the seconds-hand contrasts sharply with that of the basalt black dial. At 12 o’clock, the silhouette of the 911 Carrera below the Porsche Design logo signifies the special edition. A detail which is noticed immediately and underlines the unique character of this watch. The engraved numbering can be seen on the back of the case. The case is made of grade 5 titanium, so the utmost strength of manufacture is allied to a particularly light specific weight. Working with titanium is an unusually exacting task, which makes the perfect polish of the case all the more impressive. The optical quality of the metal also has a technical character and makes a perfect match for the overall effect of the chronograph and the aesthetic vision of Porsche Design. The outcome is a strong chronograph: as bright as stainless steel but absolutely corrosion-resistant and also anti-allergenic because of the use of titanium. The watch has a tough titanium bracelet with double folding clasp in titanium. Automatic caliber ETA 2894-2 automatic clockwork system with a Porsche Design rotor system. The winding mechanism is energy-optimized. Sapphire glass with anti-glare treatment. Water-resistance to 100 m. The Limited Edition 911 has stopwatch functions and a date display. The display for the stopwatch functions is by means of a centrally located seconds hand.
