So-called "Steve McQueen" Rolex, Oyster Perpetual Date, Superlative Chronometer, Officially Certified, Ref. 1655. Made in the 1970s. Center-seconds, self-winding, water-resistant, stainless steel gentleman's wristwatch with date, special 24-hour bezel and hand. Stainless steel Rolex "Fliplock" Oyster bracelet. Three-body case, polished and brushed, screwed-down case back and crown, graduated 24-hour bezel, crystal with "cyclops" lens. Black dial with tritium-coated indexes, aperture for the date. Tritium-coated "bâton" hands, the orange arrow to indicate the diurnal and nocturnal hours for the 24-hour graduated bezel. Movement: Caliber 1570, rhodium plated, 26 jewels, straight line lever escapement, monometallic balance adjusted to temperatures and 5 positions, shock-absorber, self-compensating free-sprung Breguet balance-spring, Microstella regulating screws, hack mechanism. Diameter 39 mm. Thickness: 14 mm.
